Karen has more than 20 years experience in association communications. Prior to her not-for-profit experience, she worked in broadcasting as an assignment editor at the ABC network. Karen has a journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an MBA in marketing/finance from the University of Chicago. She was Director of Finance for IABC/Chicago since 2006 and has volunteered with IABC/Chicago's accreditation committee since becoming accredited in the spring of 2005.
