January Professional Development Workshop
The Measure of Success

Overview:
Presented by David Kistle, ABC, Vice President of Padilla Speer Beardsley, this half-day breakfast and workshop is designed to give communicators of all disciplines a basic toolkit for measuring their communications efforts.  Part 1 (Breakfast) will focus on measurement basics, including why include measurement in your communications strategy as well as real-life examples of measurement in action.  Part 2 (Workshop) will present methods for overcoming resistance to measurement, hands-on practice and considerations on collecting data.

About your presenter:
David Kistle, ABC is Senior Vice President of Padilla Speer Beardsley where he leads the research and employee communication practices. He is an expert on helping companies identify and develop plans that leverage their communication dollars to achieve business objectives. David has built a solid reputation by focusing 30 years of experience into an incomparable understanding of communication research, public opinion and strategic planning. As an adjunct profession at the University of Minnesota, School of Journalism and Mass Communication and Webster University, David teaches the next generation of practitioners.

David is a member of International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Executive Board having most recently served as Chairman (2004). He has also served as chair of the IABC Research Foundation, and President of the IABC Minnesota chapter.
