Networking and Professional Development Luncheon
Tips for Communicating Effectively Across Cultures and Age Groups
May 16, 2007, 11 am - 1 pm

Maggiano's Little Italy, Old Orchard Mall, Skokie

Featured Speaker:

Mickey Brazeal
Assistant Professor
Integrated Marketing Communication
Roosevelt University

Mickey Brazeal knows what it takes to successfully plan and execute effective communication programs for diverse audiences. With nearly three decades of experience, he now teaches multicultural marketing communications, account planning and customer relationship management on the Integrated Marketing Communication faculty of Roosevelt University in Chicago. He also has taught at IIT and Northwestern University. Mickey has worked for advertising agencies in Chicago for nearly 30 years – first as an account executive and then as a creative. He spent 10 years as Executive VP/Executive Creative Director at Grey Chicago, where he ran a department of 30-plus writers, art directors and production people, and helped to manage the agency. His work includes national TV campaigns for car waxes and corn herbicides, shampoos, stock options and spice blends, fuel additives, fruit juices and food stores, drugstores and deodorants.

Mickey has also worked in Direct Marketing and Sales Promotion, and was once the Creative Director of a Public Relations agency. During the dotcom madness, he helped launch a number of new businesses, a few of which still survive. His creative awards include Addies, Tellies, Eagles, Towers, Windys, Louies, Mobiuis Awards, NAMA Gold, an Effie, a Clio and the Gallagher Report’s Broken Pencil Award for “the most obnoxious TV commercial we’ve seen this month.”
