Networking and Professional Development Luncheon
Bring a brand to life
January 17, 2008, 11 am - 1 pm

Maggiano's Little Italy,516 N. Clark Street, Chicago (use the banquet entrance off of Grand Ave.)

We see brands every day – as consumers, as communicators – and we can quickly determine if a brand works. But what makes the difference? What makes one brand thrive and another fade away? How can the lessons of brand impact our work in our craft? And how has IABC used these lessons in the development of the association's new brand? Join Mark Schumann, ABC, a member of the IABC International Executive Board, for a lively discussion of the ins and outs of brand.

Featured Speaker:

Mark Schumann, ABC
Managing Principal
Towers Perrin
Houston

Mark is a 13-time Gold Quill winner and the co-author of Brand from the Inside.
Mark as been at the front of the profession in such issues as creating an employee brand, managing change through effective communication, coaching and training CEO and line managers to conduct effective face-to-face communication, conducting research to measure return on investment in communication, and motivating employees to be effective consumers of the programs the organization offers, from benefits to pay to career development. In all of his work, he brings a strong passion for results, a creative commitment to innovation, and an enduring focus on the real people the organization is trying to reach.
