Networking and Professional Development Luncheon
Building a brand from the inside out
March 20, 2008, 11 am - 1 pm

Maggiano's Little Italy,516 N. Clark Street, Chicago (use the banquet entrance off of Grand Ave.)

Ginger Hardage insists that the secret to Southwest’s success is not flying around the country but landing back at home. Her presentation will focus on engaging employees and telling an organization’s story through public relations, a strategy that has been the driving force of Southwest for the last 15 years. Southwest believes that when employees are taken care of, they will want to take care of the customer. If customers are happy, then profits will increase.

Featured Speaker:

Ginger Hardage
Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications
Southwest Airlines

As Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications, Ginger Hardage oversees the public relations, employee communications, civic and charitable contributions, legislative awareness, pass bureau and emergency response departments at Southwest Airlines. Before beginning her career at Southwest, she worked at Maxus Energy Corporation and its predecessor, Diamond Shamrock Corporation, holding a variety of public relations positions, including Director of Communications. PRWeek has named Ginger one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Public Relations and the Texas Public Relations Association named her its PR Practitioner of the Year for 2000.
