Originally founded in 1924 as the Chicago chapter of the American Association of Industrial Editors, IABC/Chicago was born in 1970 when the association merged with the International Council of Industrial Editors to form IABC. IABC/Chicago is the oldest chapter in all of IABC's 100 cities and 60 countries.
