Communication Committee
The Communication Committee oversees all IABC/Chicago member communication including the chapter Web site, the newsletter
PRISM, and bi-monthly email updates. The Communication Committee's mission is to provide timely information on programs and events within the IABC/Chicago chapter.

The chapter newsletter,
PRISM, provides our members with timely, relevant and topical information to assist them in attaining the highest standards of education and professional development in the communication field. Volunteers are needed to submit articles of interest on trends in the communication field.

If you'd like to learn new skills, or put your current skills in this area to use, please consider supporting the chapter Web site or our IABC/Chicago E-Update.

Member Services Committee

Opportunities including welcoming new members to IABC, helping plan special member events in both the city and the suburbs, and gathering feedback from members on the value of their membership.

Educational Relations Committee
Educational Relations educates, guides and inspires college students entering the communications field by providing professional support and development through IABC membership. Volunteers helping on this committee would work with the student chapter at Loyola University as well as other local colleges and university who have students interested in entering the field of communications.

Professional Development Committee
Professional Development offers a variety of programs in order to provide resources to the communication professional for attaining the highest standards of performance and development. Innovative programs are designed based on membership feedback, evolving new technologies and approaches, and trends in the communication field. The Committee is further chartered to create a forum for the exchange of ideas, problems and alternative approaches across all, sectors, private, public and academia. The Professional Development Committee also supports Accreditation and Member Services Committees through program design and collective feedback. Volunteers are needed to help with registration, planning programs and special events, and working with speakers on the coordination of their presentations.

Accreditation Committee

Awards/Judging Committee
The Awards & Judging Committee of IABC/Chicago has as its primary objective the planning and implementation of our annual awards event, Spectra. From event marketing and PR to event planning for the awards night and coordinating judging, committee members have an opportunity to get involved in many different aspects of the local Bronze Quill program which we call Spectra.

In addition, judging opportunities are available throughout the year to lend our experience to other IABC chapters across the country that need senior communicators and accredited members to review their members work. Please consider volunteering and lending your experience.
